ABOUT US

The European Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Nurses and Associates (ESGENA) is an organisation focused on the promotion of endoscopy and gastroenterology nursing. It has over 7,000 members in more than 40 countries mostly in Europe, and also worldwide.

Members are

  • Nurses practising, managing, teaching or researching in gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing
  • National associations for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Nurses and Associates
  • Passive and affiliated members interested in the field.

ESGENA’s mission is to foster communication and collaboration among gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing professionals across Europe, advancing excellence in patient care through shared research, education, and professional development. The society is dedicated to promoting recognised qualifications, enhancing cooperation with related professional groups, and elevating the professional status of nurses and endoscopy associates at a European level.
