The group meets twice a year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>During the ESGE Days<\/li>\n<li>During the ESGENA annual conference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Aims of the EEWG:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>to provide a channel for communication and interchange of information and knowledge focused on education of endoscopy \/ gastroenterology nurses<\/li>\n<li>to stimulate and support the education of endoscopy \/ gastroenterology nurses in the ESGENA membership countries<\/li>\n<li>to promote a recognised qualification in gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing in the ESGENA membership countries<\/li>\n<li>to advance the professional status of gastroenterology and endoscopy nurses and endoscopy associates on a European level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Results of the group to date<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Collection of data on the education of endoscopy nurses in Europe<\/li>\n<li>Development of\n<ul>\n<li>a European Job Profile for Endoscopy Nurses<\/li>\n<li>a European Core Curriculum for Endoscopy Nurses<\/li>\n<li>structures for continuing education and short-term training in endoscopy nursing<\/li>\n<li>various statements and curricula (see
